Music of Assam

Music and dances of a particular region are integral parts of its art and culture. Apart from that there are various othr forms of fiolk music of Assam like Bharigaan, Husori, Bihugeet, Bongeet, Jhumur, Biya Naam, Borgeet, Zikir and Nisukoni geet.
Speaking about music of Assam it is very important to mention about the traditional music instruments that are used by the people of Assam. Dhol, Taal, Pepa, Gogona and Marcus are the most popular musical instruments used for playing all kind of traditional music of Assam.
