India is a land of colorful diversity, mystic traditions, multiple customs and faiths. It is the land, which takes our breath away with the mighty Taj Mahal and other superb edifices. India is the land of Thar Desert, the Ganges, the tropical rainforests and the divine Himalayas.

The different regions of India boast of different cultures. West Bengal is a state in India rich in different traditions and festivals. The main cultural events of Bengal are the Durga Puja, Basanta Utsav and Paila Baishak or the Bengali New Year Day. Bengali music with legacy of ancient tradition today has progressed to the post modern genres. Rabindra Sangeet, songs written by the great poet Rabindranath Tagore symbolizes the cultural fervor of Bengal. Some of the other forms of Bengali music are Shyamasangeet, Adhunik, Nazrul Geeti, Jibonmukhi and the recent Bangla band songs. Bengali dance forms have evolved from drama forms. Rabindra Nritya, Gouriyo Nritya and Adhunik Nritya are three dance forms of Bengal.
Orissa is another state in India with diverse and rich living cultures. The music of Orissa is a branch of the Hindustani tradition of North India. The famous dance form of Orissa is Odissi, te dance revolving round the divine love between Krishna and Radha.

Rajasthan, the rugged and beautiful state of India is a land of mesmerizing and fascinating culture. Folk music of Rajasthan draws people with their rustic tune and feel. Some of the dance forms of Rajasthan are Ghoomar, Kalbeliya and other dance forms.
